For consumers who purchased the Model 520 filter pump prior to 2004, a cartridge support will be needed for conversion. This support comes included when the new 59905 cartridges are purchased. (5F34) The Model 520R filter pump can then be used with the new filter cartridge.
2.) How often do I have to replace the filter cartridge?
Depending on usage and water conditions, it is recommended that the cartridges be replaced every 2 weeks. The filter cartridge should be removed and checked at least once a week. It can be partially cleaned by rinsing off with a garden hose. If it still appears dirty, it should be replaced immediately.
3.) Are replacement cartridges available? Where can we get them?
Yes, please call Consumer Service at (800) 234-6839 to find the retailer nearset you; or visit our website at www.intexcorp.com. Click on "Replacement Parts and Accessories." Click on "Filter Pumps" and choose which pump you own.
4.) What cartridges do I use for the M1, Model 2, Model 12/12R, Model 51, Model 108R, or Model 520/520R filter pumps?

5.) Can a different brand of cartridges be used??
No. The warranty is voided if a cartridge other than the part listed is used, please check filter pump warranty. Any other brand may not fit correctly, therefore not filtering the water properly.
